Welcome to winter in Chicago!
The day started out VERY rainy and wet. At lunch time it was sleeting and by the end of the day, it was snowing quite hard. I had planned to run errands and do some Christmas shopping, but because of the bad roads, I headed home.

I decided this was the perfect opportunity to decorate for Christmas, as I had not had a chance to do that yet. Here is my Nativity Scene that I just adore. I had been wanting it for a while because I just love the Willow Tree angels. Grandpa got me the main set (Mary and Joseph) when I moved into my house 2 years ago. Last year he got me the stable animals for Christmas and Mom and Dad got me the star background. Here it is proudly displayed on my TV cabinet.

I put up all of the decorations around my house, but then I convinced Adam to help me decorate the tree (which is a little wimpy, but perfect for my little house!). After doing the lights together, we put on our ornaments mom and dad gave us this year. Adam got a snowman holding a sign that says, "Home is where the farm is".

I got a snowman laying in a tube in a swimming pool with a drink. (I just love anything that has to do with Santa and snowmen in the summer time!)

My cute tree! Now I just need to get some presents wrapped and under it!
And this may surprise you, but I put Christmas music on the background!
I am officially in the holiday spirit!
