Welcome to winter in Chicago!The day started out VERY rainy and wet. At lunch time it was sleeting and by the end of the day, it was snowing quite hard. I had planned to run errands and do some Christmas shopping, but because of the bad roads, I headed home.
I decided this was the perfect opportunity to decorate for Christmas, as I had not had a chance to do that yet. Here is my Nativity Scene that I just adore. I had been wanting it for a while because I just love the Willow Tree angels. Grandpa got me the main set (Mary and Joseph) when I moved into my house 2 years ago. Last year he got me the stable animals for Christmas and Mom and Dad got me the star background. Here it is proudly displayed on my TV cabinet.
I put up all of the decorations around my house, but then I convinced Adam to help me decorate the tree (which is a little wimpy, but perfect for my little house!). After doing the lights together, we put on our ornaments mom and dad gave us this year. Adam got a snowman holding a sign that says, "Home is where the farm is".
I got a snowman laying in a tube in a swimming pool with a drink. (I just love anything that has to do with Santa and snowmen in the summer time!)
My cute tree! Now I just need to get some presents wrapped and under it!And this may surprise you, but I put Christmas music on the background!
I am officially in the holiday spirit!
